Vienna is often noted to be the music capital of the world for classical music and operas. Alongside the rich tapestry of music it;s home to Jazz, Blues, Soul and World Music.
Beginning in 1991 it’s capital has been home to a modern, international jazz festival, staking claim at being one of the three most important in the world. The venues are what makes this festival quite unique for top rank musicians and the public. Keith Jarrett, Oscar Peterson, Ray Charles, to name a few, have all played at the Vienna State Opera, one of the finest leading Opera Houses.
Playing amongst museums, theatres, excellent restaurants and galleries in the Museumsquartier, the experience can only be described as remarkable.
