Roma Jazz Festival
Roma Jazz Festival is an international event that presents different forms of jazz: the musical one (with live performances by local, European and international musicians) and the visual one (exhibitions, documentaries, computer-generated creations and a lot more). This year the festival is held from Oct 12th to Nov 25th.

JazzAscona Festival
Once again JazzAscona follows an established and successful form that focuses on a union between jazz music and quality tourism. In a tasteful setting – a beautiful landscape, refined culture, a tradition of hospitality, sunshine, and excellent cuisine – during the ten days of the festival, Ascona is transformed into a music town, offering intriguing moments at every hour of the day, until late at night. A festive and lively (but livable) town, filled with cheerfulness and confusion but at all times serene and welcoming, in which to live an experience of the five senses and from which to explore a territory with a great tourism tradition and rare beauty – from the sunny Lake Maggiore banks to the green and wild valleys into the heart of the Alps.

Jazz Ascona Festival
JazzAscona is considered one of the world’s most important appointments of historical jazz styles and of the music and culture of New Orleans. The festival offers itself as a gathering and exchange place for the international and local jazz scene. Along the Lake Maggiore shores jazz breathes, musicians meet, and tradition renews itself. It is not by chance that every year new ideas and musical projects are born right here in Ascona.
JazzAscona is an extraordinary mix of culture and fun that involves the whole of Ascona’s historical centre with more than 200 concerts and jam sessions with at least 300 musicians from all over the world. The artistic direction is curated by Nicolas Gilliet, who has been at the head of the event for the past nine years.

Montreal Jazz Festival
With over 2.5 million festival goers, 800 concerts and 3000 musicians from over 30 countries, this is a biggie. How can you one possibly miss such a jazz event on nine stages and in 10 concert halls. One week just ain’t enough for the sounds you’ll likely miss. Every year the event becomes bigger and better, this year is no exception.

Gibraltar Jazz Festival

Pori Jazz Festival
The Pori Jazz festival is one of the oldest jazz festivals in the year, certainly in Europe it’s the grandest of them all. It’s also one of the years highlights you won’t want to miss. Having hosted some of the greatest jazz giants of our time it continues to attract huge audiences and sets off the Finnish festival season.

Cape Town Jazz Festival
The Cape Town Jazz Festival is in it’s 13th year and about to swing the Cape into a frenzy of jazz. Line ups this year include South Africa’s own and legendary trumpeteer Hugh Masekela, the poetic Jill Scott and many other musical luminaries poised to hit the stage in March. Quickly becoming a member of the top 10 jazz festivals of the year, it’s also become a member of our not to miss list.
